The Garden Museum hosts special evening discussion for Maggie’s

From 6pm on Thursday 27 October, landscape architects Flora Gathorne-Hardy and Lily Jencks will hold an informal discussion entitled 'Designing Uplifting Spaces'.

The Garden Museum in London is hosting a special evening for Maggie’s designed to further the debate around the interplay between wellbeing, architecture and landscape design.

Flora Gathorne-Hardy and Lily Jencks are both currently involved in projects for Maggie’s; Flora Gathorne-Hardy in Oxford and Lily Jencks in Gartnavel and Hong Kong. Their discussion entitled, ‘Changing Boundaries: Designing Uplifting Spaces’ focuses on the unique way the landscape design and architecture work together to create a therapeutic environment.

The talk is part of The Garden Museum’s broader exhibition, From Garden City to Green City. This new exhibit explores the many visions, designs and projects that have inspired the ‘green city’ movement over the last 150 years. From the Victorian pioneers who sought to improve living conditions Britain, to today’s landscape architects transforming our towns and cities.

Tickets for the evening are £15 per person, or £10 for Garden Museum Friends. To book your place buy a ticket online or call 020 7401 8865.
