SSE
Scottish and Southern Energy is more than just an energy company. It serves customers from 150 sites around the country and is one of the largest energy companies in the UK.
SSE sponsored Maggie's first Monster Bike and Hike and have continued to support the event by encouraging their staff to take part each year. Employees across the organisation have also taken part in a wide range of sporting events and office fundraising.
Continuing their support across the charity SSE generously funded three community fundraising posts which allowed Maggie’s to develop our Highlands, Oxford and Swansea Centres. Through a three year funding grant SSE empowered Maggie’s to develop sustainable income in all three areas.
"SSE has worked with Maggie's for several years, and the reasons are straightforward. Maggie's is an inspiring yet practical cause: helping cancer patients and their families when they most need it. It is also a unifying cause: everyone knows someone affected by cancer. And the spirit of Maggie's is also something special, with its ability to put the 'fun' into 'fundraising'." Ian Marchant, Chief Executive of SSE.

Orla Kiely
Maggie's were delighted that Orla Kiely generously agreed to support Maggie’s through a Cause Related Marketing campaign.
Orla Kiely supported Maggie’s through donating 50% of the purchase price (after tax) from the sale of their Butterfly Stem Print bag and wallet.
Kirsty Wark, Newsnight presenter and a patron of Maggie’s said: “I am so delighted that Orla Kiely has chosen to support Maggie's by designing a limited edition fabulous must have bag. She is giving every penny of profit to Maggie's.”
A feature length interview with Kirsty Wark and Sharleen Spiteri in Sunday’s edition of The Observer promoted this fantastic product and campaign, generating more sales and donations to Maggie’s.
Maggie’s are extremely thankful to Orla for her generous support to our cancer caring centres.
