Flowers for Maggie's
Maggie’s Lanarkshire centre users and staff were delighted with a gift of stunning flower arrangements.
Ally Hare and a group of friends were awarded first prize for the Maggie’s-themed flower displays, which they designed as part a course at Motherwell College. Ally and Sharon are pictured visiting Maggie’s on behalf of their winning team (pictured from L to R: Sharon Gibson, Ally Hare, centre user Mae McGuinness, Community Fundraising Coordinator Julie Burns, centre user Evelyn Paterson, Centre Head Lorrie Forsyth).
The flowers were much admired by everyone visiting the centre during the recent Love Maggie’s Day event.
Ally’s mum Christine is undergoing treatment for bowel cancer, and together with other family members they regularly visit Maggie’s to take part in scrapbooking and Tai Chi.
Maggie’s Lanarkshire is a homely, welcoming place where people with cancer, their family and friends can receive the support they need.
